What is Rocky Connections?
A teen grief support and coaching service created to help youth (ages 13-18) who are navigating grief, loss, and life’s challenges. Through meaningful conversations, hands-on experiences, and supportive programs, we create safe spaces to connect, heal, and grow.
After the loss of our daughter, Kaydance, I realized there was really no support for our teens. There are lots of programs and different resources for younger children and adults, but nothing that teens could really connect to and feel supported. After over a year of brainstorming, talking to local teens about what they would like to see be offered, and lots of planning, I have come up with an “out-of-the-box” support service for our area that will hopefully become the go-to for teens in Grey County, Bruce County, Huron County, and beyond.
At this time, there are only a few offerings ready to roll out beginning in January 2027 with our soft start. I had hoped to open with all offerings but the perfect space I had hoped for has been taken. However, in time, once a permanent physical space is located, all offerings will slowly open. Make sure to keep checking back to this page and the Rocky Connections socials to keep up with the Offerings Calendar and any news about new offerings and a physical space being found.

Hours of Operation

The below hours are for 1:1 Grief Coaching Sessions and Move With Your Grief Adventures. Separate running hours for Campfire Conversations and Teen Hangout Nights. For Guest Speaking, there is flexibility in available hours.

Our Offerings

Campfire Conversations
$30/teen
A relaxed, supportive evening around the fire where teens can connect, talk, listen, and share at their own comfort level.

Teen Hangouts
$50/teen
A chance to unwind, have fun, meet new people, and build friendships with other teens who understand.

1:1 Grief Coaching
$75-$480
Single Sessions, 4 Session Package, and 8 Session Package available. Build trust and find support at your own pace. Sessions can be built around your interests or simply talking one-on-one.

Move With Your Grief Adventures
$50-$100/teen
Hiking & Healing, Photography Nature Walks, Grateful Gardening, Goats & Growth…these sessions can be tailored to your interests.

Guest Speaking
$300/hour
Educational and lived-experience presentations for schools, youth groups, and organizations on youth grief, mental wellness, and building supportive, compassionate communities.

Rocky Connections does not offer any services that are deemed “regulated” or any services that can only be offered by “licensed professionals”. Rocky Connections is a mental health support but does not offer services by a licensed counselor or therapist. Instead, Rocky Connections offers services by a certified grief coach and teen life coach. Rocky Connections is offered through the Kaydance Ford Athletic & Trades Foundation as part of the Foundation’s legal obligation: “to address and prevent specific problems faced by children by operating a latchkey program for children and youth attending public schools within Bluewater District School Board” and “to address and prevent specific problems faced by families by providing grief support for survivors that addresses issues associated with the loss of family members”. Rocky Connections and the Kaydance Ford Athletic & Trades Foundation is not associated by any third party, they are completely operated by the Foundation’s Founder and Co-Founders. The only time any client information is shared with third parties is if the client shares that they are having suicidal thoughts or wanting to act on these thoughts. Parents will be contacted and spoke with then information will be shared with local police. Rocky Connections is not covered under health benefits. Unfortunately, due to not being a registered counsellor or therapist, and not being a regulated service, we cannot sign onto any benefits providers.
